MEDICAL DIAGNOSIS
MEDICAL DIAGNOSIS
The temporal lobes hypoperfusion detected in the brain SPECT scan performed in February 2008 indicated a possible herpes type 6 (HHV6) infection in Daniel's brain.  The herpes type 6 virus (HHV6) has a preference for the temporal lobes.  A video EEG also indicated a generalized epileptic activity that was caused by brain inflammation.  Daniel also tested positive twice for HHV6 viral infection.  This information confirmed led to the diagnosis of viral encephalopathy.

Daniel showed he suffered from Hypogammaglobulinemia through two IGG lab tests.  Hypogammaglobulinemia is a type of immune disorder characterized by a reduction in all types of gamma globulins.  The immune panels (Lymphocyte Subset Panel 1) lab tests demonstrated that Daniel suffered from autoimmunity due to the constant CD19+ (B Cells) over expression.  This confirmed Daniel's autoimmune disorder diagnosis.

Daniel's medical diagnosis

Viral Encephalopathy diagnosis

1 Human Herpes Virus 6B Is Associated With Mesial Temporal Lobe Epilepsy
    2. Detection of human herpesvirus-6 in mesial temporal lobe epilepsy surgical brain resections
    3. Encephalitis associated with Herpes Type 6 reactivation has been described in immunocompetent and

immunocompromised hosts.

Autoimmune disease diagnosis

 1.
Hypogammaglobulinemia - Hypogammaglobulinemia is a type of immune disorder characterized by a reduction in
         all types of gamma globulins.
    2. CD19+ cell overexpression is known to induce autoimmunity Autoimmunity is the failure of an organism to
recognize its own constituent parts as self, which allows an immune response against its own cells and tissues.
Any disease that results from such an aberrant immune response is termed an autoimmune disease. Vitiligo is
associated with autoimmune and inflammatory diseases
.

Vitiligo diagnosis

1. Daniel was diagnosed with Vitiligo by two different dermatologists.

What is Herpes Type 6 (HHV6)?
Infections with human (HHV-6), a ß-herpesvirus of which two variant groups (A and B) are recognized, is very common, approaching 100% in seroprevalence. Primary infection with HHV-6B causes roseola infantum, a common childhood disease that resolves spontaneously.

What is an autoimmune disease?
Autoimmune diseases arise from an overactive immune response of the body against substances and tissues normally present in the body. In other words, the body actually attacks its own cells.

What is Vitiligo?
Vitiligo is a pigmentation disorder in which melanocytes (the cells that make pigment) in the skin are destroyed. As a result, white patches appear on the skin in different parts of the body. The most widely accepted view is that the depigmentation occurs because vitiligo is an autoimmune disease -- a disease in which a person's immune system reacts against the body's own organs or tissues.
